Cucumber growth period requires a certain temperature difference between day and night. The optimum ground temperature for cucumber root growth is 20-22℃. The lowest ground temperature was 12℃ and the highest was 38℃. Root respiration consumption increased when the temperature was above 32℃. So early spring cucumber transplanting time should be stable ground temperature to reach more than 12℃.
